The ravings of a VOTF supporter who blames the entire Church "hierarchy"
for the actions of a few misguided Bishops.
Dear
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
For
some time now The Keene Sentinel ( newspaper for the town of Keene, New
Hampshire ) has promoted abortion, homosexual "rights," and any
dissent from Catholic teaching. While this liberal newspaper censors the
views of Catholics loyal to the Magisterium of the Church, it regularly
publishes the views of "Catholic" dissidents and malcontents.
Late
last year, The Keene Sentinel published the sick views of a dissident nun who
believes that the Rev. Roland Cote (who had a six year homosexual
"relationship" with a teen) should be allowed to continue as Pastor
of St. Patrick's Parish in Jaffery, NH.
In
today's [ 19 MARCH 02 ] Keene Sentinel, readers are subjected to the ravings of
a VOTF supporter who blames the entire Church "hierarchy" for the
actions of a few misguided Bishops. In this letter, Francis Warman writes
"New leadership will be required, as well as greater participation of
followers. We need to break the code of silence so pervasive in the
Church.."
Clearly,
The Keene Sentinel is a Satanic publication bent on serving its master by
refusing to publish letters to the editor which reflect Catholic moral teaching
while freely promoting the ideas of anti-Catholic individuals like Francis
Warman and groups like VOTF.
I
urge all residents of Keene, New Hampshire who are Catholic and follow the
Magisterium to boycott The Keene Sentinel and to protest the paper's Satanic
agenda. The publication may be reached at: mailto:letters@keenesentinel.com

Subject: The
Keene Sentinel's censorship of Roman Catholics
Greetings
in Christ!
The
Keene Sentinel is indeed rejecting letters to the editor which reflect solid
Catholic teaching. Just last year the newspaper was publishing letters
from Catholics who embrace the teachings of Holy Mother Church. But such
is no longer the case.
This
may be due to the fact that the newspaper published an exchange of letters to
the editor last year between advocates of the dissident group "Voice of
the Faithful" and Catholics who follow Pope John Paul II and the
Magisterial teaching of the Church as reflected in the Catechism of the
Catholic Church.
The
advocates of "Voice of the Faithful" lost the intellectual debate and
leaders of this counterfeit-Catholic organization decided not to hold meetings
here in Keene. Perhaps the anti-Church liberals who produce The Keene
Sentinel are now embittered that the forces of dissent lost this battle and are
simply determined to silence any and all expression of true Catholic teaching.
My
last two letters to the editor have been censored. The last one was a
response to a confused individual who labeled all pro-lifers as
"self-appointed dictators of pro-life," and as
"fanatics." Not only was my response not published, but I
received no answer to a query as to why it was not published.
Roger
is right. Faithful Catholics who live in the Monadnock area should
respond to this anti-Catholic bias and arrogance by boycotting The Keene
Sentinel.

The
Catholic priest whose recent admission that he had a homosexual affair with a
teenager plunged his Jaffrey parish into turmoil is leaving, church staff said
yesterday.
The
Rev. Roland P. Cote told parishioners he will leave St. Patrick Church
tomorrow, parish secretary Liz DiRusso said yesterday.
He
is expected to say weekend Masses, she said.
Parishioners
said they neither were told where Cote is going, nor who will replace him.

N.H. bishop reportedly coached priest on abuse reply
Boston Globe
By

JAFFREY,
N.H. - Before becoming bishop of the Manchester Diocese, John B. McCormack
spent much of the 1980s and 1990s as the aide to Cardinal Bernard F. Law who
dealt with - and according to records, often coddled - priests accused of
molesting children.
In
April, a flood tide of documents showed how McCormack threw a protective
blanket over the Rev. Paul R. Shanley when others complained about Shanley's
public support for men having sex with boys. Two weeks after the Shanley
disclosures, McCormack resigned as chairman of a US bishops' committee on
sexual abuse.
In
June, McCormack decided it was appropriate to reassign the Rev. Ronald P. Cote,
57, to St. Patrick's Church here, even though Cote had admitted to McCormack
that he'd had sex with a teenage boy and that the diocese was arranging a
secret and pricey settlement of a legal claim against the priest.
