DIOCESAN TASK FORCE 0N SEXUAL MISCONDUCT POLICY

St. James Church, Portsmouth, NH,    Warren@FaithfulVoice.com

In 1961 Pope John XXIII reissued a 1930's ban on ordination of homosexuals. Had our bishops respected this directive we wouldn't be here.  We wouldn't have priests molesting young men, nor would the paying faithful be facing million dollar settlements.  Most serious is the loss of so many souls. The victims and their families leave the Church, the Catholic Church outside of which no one can be saved from Hell.

Our diocese has been promoting the homosexual agenda :

1.) gay right laws

2.) acceptance of gay life style especially aimed at school children and

3.) anti-gay hate laws.

In 1993, during the public hearing on a gay rights ordinance here in Portsmouth, Fr. Leo Gagnon read a supporting statement signed by all the Catholic priests and released by then Msgr. Christian, a copy of which I have here. The press reported "Christian ministers, and ardent Bible thumpers also condemned the gay lifestyle.  But in a surprise show of solidarity for the struggle of the gay community, six representatives from the Catholic church logged their support for the Equal Rights Ordinance."

The diocesan statement is not what the Church teaches.  None of these priests testified during hearings on condom distribution at Portsmouth High.

In 1997 the Manchester Diocese wrote and promoted, with letters to the legislators, gay rights legislation which passed as written.  I again testified that the bill was contrary to the Vatican advisory which I have here. "Sexual orientation does not constitute a quality comparable to race, ethnic background, etc., in respect to nondiscrimination.  Unlike these, homosexual orientation is an objective disorder and evokes moral concern. There are areas in which it is not unjust discrimination to take sexual orientation into account, for example, in the consignment of children to adoption or foster care, in employment of teachers or coaches, and in military recruitment." and I would add, the priesthood.  The advisory goes on to say that  just discrimination is "not only sometimes licit but obligatory."  The diocese has never written to all legislators in support of right to life bills to save some unborn and unbaptized babies from Hell.

In 1998 Father John Portier, St. Joseph's Dover and recently suspended for alleged molestation, and the Diocesan Ecumenical Aids Task Force presented a pro-gay life style program aimed at school children.  I have their Homosexuality and Church Teaching packet here. It is filled with work

Skits for the children's programs including the statement  "Being gay or lesbian is simply another means of expressing love."  Mrs. Gilbert said of the program "I can only characterize the Dwyer presentation as an unabashed and unmistakable propaganda program for radical homosexual advocacy."   Jane Dwyer, diocesan spokesman, said homosexual sex acts are not immoral.  No response to my letter reporting this to Bishop Christian.

Bishop McCormack assigned Fr. Cote to St. Patrick's in Jaffrey.  Some Protestants picketed the church saying Catholics should be ashamed to have a homosexual as Pastor.  Catholic counter-picketers heckled them as haters. Apparently the Catholics didn't like Protestants acting as Catholics.  Fr. Arsenault said "This group is shamefully hateful and their presence here is a challenge to our faith."  I don't know what faith he means but it certainly is not our Catholic faith, the true faith without which it is impossible to please God or save your soul from Hell.  Next will be laws declaring scripture verses on sodomy to be hate crimes as are presently proposed in Canada.

Just this week Bishop McCormack was reported as saying "Homosexual orientation is not a hindrance to a man becoming a priest."  Considering the present subculture of homosexuals in the priesthood and their outrageous molestation of teenage boys, his statement is enough for you to recommend his resignation.  If he doesn't resign we can pray for him.

I suggest psalm 108.8 "his bishopric let another have".

"Woe to those who call evil good and good evil."   The Church must see that

the root of the problem of sexual misconduct is homosexuality, and stop

contaminating the youth with such misleading documents as "always our

children"   Dr. Peter Frey
